...Airlines around the world react
The United States’ Federal
Aviation Administration has advised passengers on board aircraft not to use Samsung
Galaxy Note 7 Devices. This is according to a statement on the US FAA’s website
titled: “FAA Statement on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Devices”.
The statements reads: “In
light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung about its Galaxy Note
7 devices, the Federal Aviation Administration strongly advises passengers not to
turn on or charge these devices on board aircraft and not to stow them in any
checked baggage”.
Sequel to the US FAA
warning, airlines around the world has been banning the use of the said devise
on board their aircraft. Emirates airlines and the other entire United Arab
Emirates airline have implemented the ban as directed by their Civil Aviation
Authority.
Singapore airline has
towed the same line as that of UAE airlines.
Also, the South African
Airways has banned the charging of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on board
all its aircraft effective from Saturday, amid battery explosion reports.
